HIB Policy

Beverly City School is proud to announce the results of our School Self-Assessment under the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights. Our score was a 76/78 which is a 97%.  Please download our district and school grade report for details on our individual category scores.
Beginning with the September 2011-2012 school year, our school district/school has conscientiously implemented the requirements found in the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act by training teachers, staff, and students. During the first three years of implementation of the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, our school district/school has made progress in addressing and improving harassment, intimidation and bullying and the school climate and culture by hosting character education programs, inclusive clubs and sports teams, as well as recognizing students who are upstanders. While completing the Self-Assessment, we learned that our school district/school has demonstrated strengths in these areas: reporting procedures, investigative procedures, and personnel. The Self-Assessment helped our school district/school to identify areas for improvement in the following areas: other staff instruction and training programs. Our school plans to further assess strengths and vulnerabilities for learning by conducting a school climate survey. During the upcoming year, our school district/school will be working towards and seek your involvement in improving the community's understanding of the law.
